Meet the Founder

Hong Hoang is a Vietnamese NGO leader with over 25 years building climate and environmental movements under some of the world’s most repressive regimes.Her activism led to her imprisonment in 2023, sparking the global #FreeHong campaign that helped secure her release. Now based in the U.S., she continues to champion climate justice and mentor a new generation of activists.A Climate Hero, one of Forbes Vietnam’s 50 Most Influential Women, and an Obama Scholar, Hong inspires through resilience, wit, sharp storytelling, and unwavering belief in people power.
